Joe Rogan came from a broken family. His parents were divorced when he was very young. His father was a police officer and after the divorce, he abandoned Joe and his mother. His mother then became his caretaker and a single parent, working twice to make sure Joe gets everything that he wants.

Joe Rogan graduated from Newton South High School in 1985 and started to participate in martial arts and little league basketball when he was 15 years old. When he was 19 years old, he became a winner at the US Open Championship in the taekwondo competition. After winning the lightweight competition, he participated in middle and heavy weight competitions and challenged them to a fight, which he ultimately won, thanks to his hardcore training sessions.
