Razer has made history as being one of the manufacturers who are aware of doing pretty much everything. The company has dabbled into making more or less everything ranging from peripherals to computer cases, and even all-in-one liquid coolers, and the best thing is that Razer is not just making all of these components for the sake of making them. The company is good at all of this, and the Razer Blade 15 2018 H2 is a testament to that.
This is one of the best laptops that Razer has made and, in all honesty, the entirety of the Blade lineup has been excellent since the start as the company has only gone towards an upwards trajectory with these laptops and this does not seem to be changing.

Design and Build Quality
Now, the most important thing, at least for some people, is the fact that the design and build quality of the laptop needs to be good or else you would be getting your hands on something that simply is not worth it.
The one thing that I have always loved about Razer and their laptops is the fact that there is a lot of thought that goes into the design of the laptop, and therefore, the design of the Razer Blade 15 2018 H2 is an excellent one, at that. It is clean, with just the right of Razer-esque aesthetics that you would want.
Another strong thing about the laptop here is the build quality because that is something that you are not going to regret at all. If you have been looking into something that is screaming premium, then this laptop is excellent and you are looking at a very practical and striking laptop.
Keyboard, Trackpad, and Speakers
There are some crucial aspects regarding a laptop that have to be good because otherwise, you are just buying something that simply is not worth it. This is why a good keyboard and a trackpad are an absolute must. This is something I realised when I got my recent laptop that lacks a good trackpad.
Now, if you are someone like me who spends most of the day typing away on their keyboard, you would need a keyboard that is good and does not introduce any finger fatigue even after hours of typing. Similarly, you would also need a good trackpad that has a good touch detection so it does not get ghost touches.
Thankfully, the Razer Blade nails both aspects as the keyboard and the trackpad on this laptop are excellent in almost every aspect. The keyboard even has Chroma lighting which looks amazing against the matte black surfaces of the laptop. For trackpad, you are looking at a fairly sizeable offering, so it is definitely a good combination.
Moving onto the speakers, you definitely are getting a good set of speakers. They are not going to blow your socks away, but for what they are worth, the sound is definitely there. However, for complete immersion, I’d suggest you go for a set of headphones or dedicated speakers.
Display, Battery Life, and Ports
I believe that display is perhaps one of the most important factors of any good laptop, in the market. Even if you are just looking at the laptop for the sake of gaming, you still need a good display and the experience needs to be all there as without that, you might not want to get the product you are looking for.
Thankfully, the display on the Razer Blade 15 is excellent, to say the least. It is 15.6-inch of bright, vivid colors, great contrast and clarity, and the best thing is that you are looking 100 percent sRGB coverage, so you can just go ahead and use the laptop for pretty much everything that you would want. Not to forget, at 144Hz, everything is buttery smooth.
The battery is somewhat average as the Razer Blade 16 2018 H2 lasts only around 6 hours on a mixed usage, and even lower if you are gaming. However, considering how we are looking at a gaming laptop, the numbers are not that bad, and always remember that in case of a gaming laptop, you should never really play games on battery.
Last but not the least, any laptop is known by the ports and the Razer Blade does not disappoint in terms of the ports. You are getting an HDMI port, three USB 3.0 ports, a USB Type-C Thunderbolt port Sadly, you are not going to get any ethernet port or an SD card slot which might be a letdown for some people.
Gaming Performance and Thermals
Considering how Razer has marketed this laptop as a gaming laptop, it is safe to say that the gaming performance matters a lot more than other laptops.
Thankfully, the Razer Blade 15 2018 H2 does not disappoint in terms of the gaming performance. It surely is running an older GTX 1070 Max-Q but in our testing, it was very apparent that you can run most of the games at FHD resolution at high settings without running into any issues.
However, in some modern games like Elden Ring, God of War, Spiderman, and a few other offerings, you might want to go ahead and lower the settings a bit.
With that said, the thermals are really good on this laptop, which is an excellent thing. You can go ahead and just be certain that you are not going run into any issues. There are enough vents to ensure that you are playing a game on this laptop, it will not give you any hassles.

After spending a good amount of time with the Razer Blade 15 2018 H2, I have come to realization that this is actually an excellent laptop that you can get your hands on. Sure, it might be a bit old but the performance is still excellent and getting your hands on this laptop is certainly way to go.
There is a lot to love about this keyboard, and it simply delivers the performance you want to go with along with all the looks there are. Everything about this laptop simply falls into place together, giving you the perfect experience that you would want.
